8 Things You Can Purge From Your Kitchen Cabinets Without a Second Thought

TUPPERWARE

Get rid of the ones that are missing their other half and while you’re at it, toss the ones that are stained. Pro tip: Invest in a matching set and ditch the take-out and yogurt containers. These are my favorite!

CHIPPED DISHES AND GLASSWARE

We all have that one dish or glass that’s chipped that we hang on to because it keeps our set “complete,” but we never use because we hate that dang chip! Say g’bye and live with your uneven set.

SIMILAR-SIZED POTS AND PANS

Take out your pots and pans and group them by size. Typically, people have multiple stock pots and saucepans. Keep 1 (maybe 2) of each size.

UBER-SPECIFIC KITCHEN GADGETS

Those banana slicers, strawberry pitters, and avocado tools are taking up precious space in your drawers. Use a good ol’ fashioned knife instead and part with those kitchy gadgets.

POTHOLDERS

The ones that are thin, burnt, or stained can go, and resist the urge to have more than 4.

TRAVELERS AND WATER BOTTLES

Now’s the time to part with the ones that leak, don’t keep beverages at the right temperature, or that have seen better days. Pro tip: Use an organizer like this to maximize your cabinet space and keep them organized.

BAKING PANS

You’d be surprised at how many clients I work with who have a large assortment of baking pans but never bake. It’s time to say goodbye to those unused wedding registry items!

THAT ONE ITEM YOU REGRET BUYING

We all have that one item in our kitchen that we regret purchasing but feel guilty parting with because we never used it. Whether it’s big or small give yourself some grace, and use this as a reminder to be intentional about future purchases. Say goodbye to the guilt and shame and get that item out of your space!
